For pistachio baklava, you should use pistachios instead of walnuts. This is a very traditional Turkish recipe. And one of the most popular Turkish desserts. Tip is not to let phyllo dough stick each other. And the top part will be so crunchy, while the bottom part is soft and sweet.
Start by transferring the flour into a large tray Make a pit in the middle and add the eggs Add salt Mix the eggs with a little bit of water and start kneading your dough gradually adding water You will end up with a medium hard dough Continue kneading for another 5 minutes Let your dough rest for 30 minutes, in a covered bowl Cut the dough on half on the surface dusted with flour Cover up one piece and cut other one in equal pieces Each piece should be a walnut size Take a dough ball and cover others so they don’t dry Dust the counter with wheat starch and roll each dough ball around 8 iches in diameter Roll each dough ball one by one Dust some starch between the layers of filo Important part is, not letting the layers stick each other, to avoid that, roll each later to rolling pin and separate the sticky parts When you are done separating, lay them back on counter dusting starch between layers Since the layers are super thin, it is quite normal if some has some holes or tears Make sure your filo dough size matches with the size of the tray you are planning to use, and grease the tray with melted butter Splash some butter between first 5 layers On 20th layer, splash some butter and spread the walnuts Take out the other half of your dough and do the same with it Make sure the layers are not sticking each other Place the second twenty filo, without splashing oil between them Our half of the melted butter on your baklava After slicing it, pour the other half of the butter On 400F(200C)pre-heated oven, bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden browned Now we can prepare the syrup for our baklava! Mix 3 cups of water and 4 cups of sugar in a pot When it boils, add the lemon juice Let it cool down for 5 minutes and then pour the syrup that warmed down In 3 hours, baklava will soak up the syrup and will be ready to serve. Easiest Italian Bread Ever! No Mixer – No Dutch Oven

The easiest bread ever! Comes together (baking and all) in under 2 hours and requires basics you probably already on hand. It’s just so perfect, rustic, crunchy and makes for a phenomenal base for a poolside sangueeechhh this summer! Recipe Below! RECIPE: 3 1/2 cups of All Purpose Flour 2 tsp of Sugar 2 tsp of Instant Yeast 2 Tsp of Salt 1 2/3 cups of Warm Water In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the dough, it will be a tad sticky but as long as all the flour is incorporated you’re golden! Cover and allow to rise for about an hour and a half somewhere warm (I pop it in the oven with the light on DON’T TURN TE OVEN ON though!) About an hour in, take the dough out of your oven (if thats where you’re storing it to rise) leave it on the counterforce the last half an hour and preheat your oven to 475 degrees, you want it well preheated when you go to bake the bread. On a well floured surface (don’t be shy, the dough is slightly sticky) scoop out your dough onto it, flour the top a bit so its not sticky then divide into 2 equal pieces, kind of roll and stretch each half into a 12” log, give each one a few twists and place them on a lightly floured parchment lined baking sheet. Cut a few slits down the whole length of the loaves and pop them in the oven. When you pop them in immediately lower the temp to 450 and bake for 24 minutes (or until deeply browned). Enjoy! They are sensational!
