Turkish Stuffed Meatball Recipe – Meatballs with Mashed Potato

Turkish Meatballs (Stuffed Meatball) is a classic Turkish Recipe, but with this recipe, we will show you a not very popular Turkish Kebab, stuffed with mashed potatoes and mozzarella cheese. A great dinner option and your stale bread won’t go to waste with this easy and very healthy recipe! You won’t believe how delicious this could be! Transfer the ground meat into a large tray Add grated bread and onions Add an egg and grated garlic Season with salt, red pepper flakes and black pepper See below for the list of ingredients! Roll a handful of meat mixture between your hands and shape them like a bowl Bake for 15 minutes on 200C (400F) pre-heated oven (Make sure meatballs are not over cooked) Directions for the Filling: In a large saucepan boil potatoes for around 30-35 minutes Remove from heat and let them cool down for peeling Add salt and butter Add 3 tbs milk and bring the pot on medium heat Mash the potatoes You can add some more milk if you wish your puree softer Directions for Serving: Stuff 2 tbs of the puree in the baked meatballs Spread some grated mozzarella cheese on tops For the sauce, mix a tbs tomato paste with half a cup water Bake for 20 minutes on 180 C (360 F) pre-heated oven.
