Chocolate Crunch Cake – Way Too Delicious!!!

The viral chocolate cake but ya know, my way. This of this almost like a brownie cake with a Nutella ganache and crispy chocolate nuggets of absolute perfection!! My recipe is below, haven’t tried it any other way so can’t say if any substitutions will work the same. What I can say is, it’s delicious, like dangerously delicious, keep it out of my house kind of delicious. Only downside is it needs to be eaten right away or the crunchy bits do go soggy after a while so it’s perfect for something like a Friendsgiving, fun dinner or even a holiday. More of a “scoop” cake than a “cut a perfect piece” cake but my gosh, not to be missed you guys! Recipe below!

RECIPE:
For the cake:
1- 15oz box of chocolate cake mix
1-2oz packet of instant chocolate pudding
4 eggs
1/4 cup of sour cream
3/4 cup of melted butter
1 cup of milk

For the ganache:
1 1/2 cups of Nutella
2 tbsp of powdered sugar
2 tbsp of cocoa powder
1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips (or chunks)
1/2 cup of heavy cream
4 cups of corn flakes

Process:
Assemble the cake mix with the pudding mix, eggs, milk, butter and sour cream, pour into a sprayed and lined 9×13 and bake for 30 minutes, remove and allow to cool a bit. In a microwave safe bowl, add all the ingredients for the ganache (except for the cornflakes) pop it in the microwave about a minute (don’t overheat) then stir it all together. Pour half over the slightly cooled cake and smear evenly, then take the cornflakes and add it to the rest, mixing them really well all together so they are totally coated in that ganache. Gently spread all over the cake, allow it to sit about a half an hour and dive straight in!
