Cannoli Coffee Cake Recipe

Your favorite Italian pastry just turned into coffee cake! That slightly scented ricotta filling studded with chocolate and candied citrus but in a cake form, perfect for dunking in your next cup of coffee or tea (or dare I say even in an espresso martini?!!) it’s so good you guys, perfectly balanced, bouncy and sweet, it’s just what the soul needs during that afternoon pick me up or for a sweet weekend treat! Recipe below!

2 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 tsp of Baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
2/3 cup of candied orange peel
2/3 cup of mini semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 tsp of lemon zest
1 tsp of orange zest
1/2 cup (one stick) of unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
2 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla
1/2 cup of whole milk ricotta
1 cup of milk
