Custard Recipe with Mastic Drops – Turkish Pudding

There are many types of custards in Turkish Cuisine. In this one here we used mastic drops to garnish the classic custard recipe.( Turkish pudding) Which adds an amazing flavor to the milky desserts. This custard also includes starch, different from some other Turkish custard recipes. Wheat starch helps the custard have a thick texture, also adds an extra flavor the taste. You can garnish this milk custard with biscuits or cakes, or if you want you can even use it as filling for cakes and cookies. Kids love this recipe as well! Also, you can decorate your cups before you serve, with dark chocolate drops or cinnamon!
Directions for Turkish Custard: Take 3 cups milk and sugar into a large pot on medium heat Add a tea spoon of mastic tears In three minutes, when the milk warms up, add unsalted butter Keep stirring as it is cooking Meanwhile, mix starch and rice flour with a cup of milk Make sure it combines well Combine two mixtures when mastic pieces completely melt Keep stirring until it starts boiling! When it is still hot, pour into the serving cups You can garnish with chocolate drops or cinnamon
4 cups milk
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons rice flour
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon of mastic
Decorate the pudding:
Drop chocolate and cinnamon
