Custard Recipe with Mastic Drops – Turkish Pudding

There are many types of custards in Turkish Cuisine. In this one here we used mastic drops to garnish the classic custard recipe.( Turkish pudding) Which adds an amazing flavor to the milky desserts. This custard also includes starch, different from some other Turkish custard recipes. Wheat starch helps the custard have a thick texture, also adds an extra flavor the taste. You can garnish this milk custard with biscuits or cakes, or if you want you can even use it as filling for cakes and cookies. Kids love this recipe as well! Also, you can decorate your cups before you serve, with dark chocolate drops or cinnamon!

Easy Tomato Bisque Recipe

Grilled cheese and tomato soup has to be one of the best combos on the planet and this version is just so dynamite and it’s my sisters all time favorite meal so you know I had to make it extra good. Homemade bread (use my Dutch over bread recipe on my site) and the tomato bisque is nothing short of incredible. I love to roast my tomatoes, shallots and garlic with a little olive oil, good quality balsamic (just a drizzle) salt and fresh herbs, the flavors deepen, they get beautifully sweet and slightly charred and there’s no skipping this step because I think it makes it as good as it is. For the texture of my dreams (has to be velvety not just runny) I add a peeled and slightly chopped potato to mine and you’d never know it’s there but trust me, makes a difference, then add the veggie stock (or water and a veggie cube) some parm rind, season with salt throughout and once puréed, finish with a splash of cream. Make some grilled cheese to your liking, top the soup with some parm and a little basil and enjoy one of life’s greatest pleasures ❤️ I didn't measure much for this but I'm linking my favorite tomato bisque recipe below so use that as your guide and use a bit less stock since you're not using the canned tomatoes, carrots and celery.
