Set a large pot over medium-high heat and add 4 tablespoon of the vegetable oil Add the beef Cook until it begins to brown, about 3 minutes When the beef is brown, add chopped onions Cook for another 30 minutes with the pot lid on It will have a gravy Now you can add in the grated tomatoes Cook for another 10 minutes with the pot lid on Add the carrot And cook 10 more minutes Potatoes will go in the last place With the pot lid on, cook for approx. 10 more minutes Add salt and black pepper Adding salt when the meat is cooked avoids it getting tough Boil for another 2 minutes before you serve
List of ingredients
2.2 lbs (1 kg) beef cut in cubes
1 big onion
2 tomatoes + 1 tbs tomato paste if needed
1 carrot cut in cubes
2 potatoes cut in cubes
4 tbs vegetable oil
2 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
