It is a traditional French cake that is only available during Christmas time. It is made of a 'genoise' (a soft sponge cake), filled with a flavored buttercream, and shaped into a yule log. You can also find it in many French speaking countries including Morocco. I remember waiting the whole year for that day where my mom comes from work to take me to a bakery so we can choose the most beautiful Yule Log! Enjoy!
