Homemade “Raibi Jamila” – Moroccan Pomegranate Yogurt Drink Recipe – CookingWithAlia – Episode 188

Homemade “Raibi Jamila” – Moroccan Pomegranate Yogurt Drink Recipe – CookingWithAlia – Episode 188

To view written recipe, click this link: http://cookingwithalia.com/index.php?option=com_zoo&task=item&item_id=199&Itemid=110 Every Moroccan knows "Raibi Jamila". It's a pomegranate yogurt drink that we all grew up with in Morocco, and I doubt you can find it in any other country but Morocco. I asked around and search the internet to see if I can find a recipe that reminds me of Raibi Jamila and I did find one, that many blogs share, so not sure who was the originator of this recipe. I change 2 things to the recipe: first, I used vanilla extract which really makes the flavors pop. Second, I adjusted the quantities of buttermilk, grenadine syrup, and sugar - and I suggest you do the same. The sourness of the buttermilk varies from one kind to another, and the sweetness of the grenadine syrup will also change depending on the brand you are using. So adjust the quantities until you get the right taste. Whether you know "Raibi Jamila" or not, I am sure you will enjoy this beverage!
